Confidentiality Agreements for Your Farm or Agri-Business

by Cari Rincker on Nov.30, 2012, under Business/Commercial Law

Don't get discouraged by the legalese -- gain a cursory understanding of typical provisions in a NDA and seek guidance from an attorney to determine if a NDA is appropriate and what it should cover.

I recently wrote an article on confidentiality agreements for the agriculture community.  It can be found on my JD Supra page here.  I understand that Non-Disclosure Agreements (“NDA’s”) lack the “excitement factor” but a misappropriate of confidential information can have deleterious effects on a farm or agri-business.  I encourage my readers to gain a cursory understanding in confidentiality agreements and seek counsel from an attorney licensed in your jurisdiction before entering into a NDA.
