About Gail

Gail Rogers, Esq.

Associate Attorney

Gail graduated with honors with a bachelor’s degree in History and Political Science from Illinois College. She got her Juris Doctorate from Southern Illinois University School of Law in December 1995. While attending law school, she did an externship at the Alternative Dispute Resolution Clinic at the law school. There she learned the importance of mediation especially in family law issues involving children. Gail also did an externship at the Jackson County Public Defender’s Office.

Gail was an Associate Attorney at James David Jones Law Office for a few years right out of law school and handled all family law cases in the firm. She enjoyed working with people and helping them through difficult times. Gail has spent approximately fifteen years working in the child support division of state’s attorney’s offices between Sangamon County and Champaign County. This involved working for Illinois Healthcare and Family Services (HFS) to establish parentage, support, modify support, enforce support orders, enforce support orders from other states and any other requests from HFS. This involved approximately 7000 open cases. So, Gail handled about 80 cases per week on her own.

Gail is a member of the Champaign County Bar Association. She is a Judge of Negotiation and Argument competitions at the University of Illinois College of Law from time to time. She has been a co-presenter of an overview of the child support enforcement program at the Illinois Family Law course at the University of Illinois College of Law. She has attended the Illinois Family Support Enforcement Association conference for the last fourteen years.

Gail has a daughter who is also a lawyer in D.C. and a precocious two-year old granddaughter, Laytha, who she visits when she can. Gail has a rescue yorkie named Mia who she loves to go home to at night. Gail is interested in expanding her practice to animal law along with family law and is excited to join Rincker Law, PLLC.
