Hope you are having a lovely holiday season. I’m home visiting family in Illinois right now at the Rincker Ranch.
This blog is long overdue. I enjoyed reading this book last summer beachside in Coney Island. A friend of mine, Jeanne Berger, one of the top financial advisors at Chase Bank, suggested “Smart Women Finish Rich” by David Bach to me and I really enjoyed it. If you follow me on Twitter or this blog, you know that I love Suze Orman and discussing personal finance.
As a divorce attorney, I come across women who did not have any knowledge of their husband’s finances during their marriage. I believe that money gives a woman power and knowledge of money makes a woman powerful. If you are a female food or agriculture entreprenuer, being smart with your money is paramount.
If you are looking for a good, quick read over the holidays to perhaps inspire a New Year’s resolution, I recommend this book. You can purchase it on Amazon.com here.
What are you New Year’s Resolutions? Last year, I resolved to go to more Broadway Shows and learn to play the guitar. I greatly enjoyed both last year. For 2014, I resolve to save more money. It’s not taboo to talk about money and we should all do a better job encouraging one another to spend wisely, and save well.
