With efforts spearheaded by Jena Swanson, the National Cattlemen’s Beef Association’s (“NCBA”) Young Producer’s Council (“YPC”) has authored another social media guide for young beef producers concentrating on LinkedIn. Other authors of the guide include myself, Jesse Bussard, Brandi Buzzard and Katy Starr. This particular guide can be helpful for folks in other segments in the agriculture industry as well as it offers general advice for those looking to network or market their business online. Like the other social media guides developed by YPC, this guide lays the fundamental groundwork by explaining how to set-up a LinkedIn Account (and why you should have one). Then, it discusses more advanced topics such as etiquette and applications.
You may download the article directly from my JD Supra page here. If you haven’t done so already, please download the social media guides for blogging, Facebook and Twitter. Oh, and feel free to connect with me on LinkedIn here.
Also, if you haven’t done so already, make sure to subscribe to the RSS Feed for the YPC Cattle Call Blog. I was the founding editor of the blog a few years ago and under the leadership of Jesse Bussard, Lauren Chase and Brandi Buzzard, it is a “must read” for young cattle producers.
