Meet Associate Attorney Regan McGuill Booth: Advocating for Farmers, Ranchers, and Rural Communities

Cari RinckerAg Law Lawyer, Meet the Team

At Rincker Law, we are proud to have a team of attorneys who not only understand the law but also the people and industries they serve. One of those attorneys is Regan McGuill Booth, an Associate Attorney focusing primarily on food and agricultural law.

A Lifelong Connection to Agriculture

Regan’s roots in agriculture run deep. Originally from the Gulf Coast region of Texas, she grew up on a small cow-calf operation, and for many years, her family also raised pigs. For several years, her father served as the local extension agent, and summers were often spent harvesting test plots or working at the local grain dryer.

As a dedicated member of the Texas 4-H Program, Regan had the opportunity to serve as a Texas 4-H Livestock Ambassador, a role that introduced her to agricultural advocacy and sparked her interest in how law and policy shape the future of rural communities. “That experience opened my eyes to the critical role law and policy play in supporting farmers, ranchers, and rural communities,” she recalls. “It was through these early exposures that I found my path. Ever since, I’ve been committed to using the law to strengthen and support the agricultural industry.”

Academic and Professional Experience

Regan received her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science with a Certificate of Meat Science and a Minor in Agricultural Economics from Texas A&M University before earning her Juris Doctorate from Michigan State University College of Law. She is licensed to practice in both Texas and California.

Her experience is broad and nationally recognized. Regan has worked with the National Pork Board, the Michigan Department of Agriculture and Rural Development, and spent two years at one of California’s largest insurance defense firms. She also has a background in business and estate planning, giving her a well-rounded perspective on the legal issues that impact clients in the agricultural sector.

“I believe my approach to law is very practical and client-focused,” Regan says. “Having worked with many different types of clients in several various capacities, I make it my goal to be as straightforward and helpful as possible.”

Passion for Agricultural Law

Regan is especially passionate about the livestock industry. She cares deeply about the legal issues surrounding how livestock are raised, treated, harvested, processed, and labeled. She understands the unique challenges livestock producers face in a culture that can sometimes feel increasingly anti-agriculture.

“At Rincker Law, I’m eager to support farmers, ranchers, ag businesses, and rural communities in navigating the legal issues that impact their day-to-day operations,” Regan says. “Being part of a team that values both the industry and the individuals who keep it going is something I’m truly looking forward to.”

Leadership in the Profession

Beyond her work at Rincker Law, Regan plays an active role in the agricultural law community. She serves as Co-Chair of the Students and Young Professionals Committee of the American Agricultural Law Association (AALA) and as Vice Chair of the ABA Section of Environment, Energy, and Resources (SEER). She especially enjoys mentoring law students and helping them discover opportunities to pursue their own passions in agricultural law.

Life Outside the Office

When she’s not working with clients, Regan enjoys spending time outdoors with her husband—hiking, skiing, kayaking, and traveling. She is also an avid reader and enjoys cooking.

Buddy

One of her favorite personal stories involves her blind senior dog, Buddy, whom she and her husband adopted in 2024. Despite his disability, Buddy loves playing fetch. Regan explains: “We quickly found out that if you bounce a toy loud enough across a room, Buddy can follow the noise to find his squeaky toy. It’s his favorite game, and we try to play every night.”

Regan’s Passion and Practical Experience in Agriculture

Regan’s deep agricultural roots, professional experience, and genuine passion for supporting farmers and rural communities make her a valuable member of Rincker Law. Whether advising on livestock regulations, food labeling, or broader agricultural business matters, she brings a client-first approach grounded in both practical knowledge and personal dedication.
