Accuracy is important to Rincker Law, PLLC so we have recently added Kat Bork to our team concentrating on proofreading and editing. She will be working from our Illinois office on a part-time basis.
Kat earned her Juris Doctorate from the University of Illinois College of Law and is licensed to practice law in Illinois. During law school, she was a member of the College’s Trial Team and competed in moot court competitions, including being selected as a member of the team representing the College of Law at the Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court External Competition in New York City. She was chosen to serve as the Executive Editor of the Bankruptcy Moot Court Editorial Board during her third year of law school. Kat undertook an externship with Judge Stephen Pacey at the Ford County Courthouse in Paxton, Illinois. She also worked as a law clerk with the Urbana office of Phebus & Koester and the Champaign office of Meyer Capel.
Kat has a solo practice, covering both transactional and litigation matters, and previously worked at the local firm of Beckett & Webber as an Associate Attorney, before joining Rincker Law, PLLC as a part-time proofreader/editor in its Illinois office.
Before law school, Kat earned a bachelor’s degree in English from the University of Illinois and spent 10 years working in non-profit and government administration. She volunteers as the Membership Chair for the League of Women Voters of Champaign County and as a judge for counseling and negotiating competitions at the University of Illinois College of Law.
