In just a quick seven days there will be agriculture women from all over the country here in New York City celebrating New York agriculture and the creation of New York Agri-Women, a state affilate of American Agri-Women (@Women4Ag). Even though it is too late to RSVP for the Port of Entry Tour, please let me know if you are interested in attending any of the other events. The revised itinerary is as follows:
Wednesday, June 16th
7pm – “Welcome New York Agri-Women” Reception at the home of Mitzi Perdue. Limited to 75 guests. Cocktail attire is suggested. There are a few spots left if you want to attend. Please email me for the address and must RSVP in advance.
Thursday, June 17th
7:30am – Departure from Manhattan via bus (email me for location)
9:30am – Tour of Stone Barns Center for Food and Agriculture in Pocantico Hills, New York
1pm – Tour of the Port of Entry, Produce Inspection Station in Brooklyn, New York
3:30pm – Tour of the Growing Chefs- Field to Fork roof top community garden in Brooklyn, New York
Friday, June 18th
10am – Tour of Union Square Farmer’s Market
12:30pm – (TENATIVE) Lunch at the Boathouse in Central Park (email me to RSVP)
