The Illinois State Bar Association (ISBA) has announced the appointment of attorneys Cari Rincker and Elizabeth E. Nohren to the ISBA Rural Practice Section Council for the 2025–2026 term. This council focuses on addressing the unique challenges and opportunities in providing legal services to Illinois’ rural communities.

Rincker, a dedicated advocate for rural justice initiatives, expressed her enthusiasm about the appointment:

“There is such a strong need to provide access to legal services in rural communities,” Rincker said. “I am proud and honored to serve on this board alongside Liz Nohren, who has been providing outstanding legal services to central Illinois’s rural area for decades. I look forward to working with thought leaders from across the state to strengthen access to justice.”

Elizabeth Nohren, attorney at Dove & Dove in Shelbyville, represents the fifth generation of her family to practice law in Illinois.

“It is a true honor to continue my family’s legacy of service at Dove & Dove,” said Nohren. “As a fifth-generation attorney, I take great pride in supporting rural communities and helping ensure they have access to trusted, high-quality legal services.”

Rinker and Nohren both bring a strong commitment to rural legal advocacy, having recently attended the ISBA Family Law Conference in London together last fall, further deepening their engagement with legal issues affecting Illinois families.

Their appointments underscore the ISBA’s continued investment in developing practical, innovative solutions to the rural attorney shortage and expanding equitable access to legal representation statewide.
