I will be taking off next week for Tennessee for the Tennessee College of Law’s Agriculture Law & Policy Symposium, “A Look into the Field: Food and Agriculture Law and Policy” on October 9, 2015 in Knoxville, Tennessee. I am participating in a panel discussion titled “Agri-Tourism, CSA’s and Direct to Consumer Sales” – as I noted previously, you can find my outline here. My presentation will focus on the U.S. Department of Agriculture’s Census of Agriculture with direct farm marketing. I will also discuss Community Supported Agriculture (“CSA”) Agreements, volunteer farm labor, and on-farm poultry slaughter.
Additionally, I’m giving the keynote! (Can you tell that I’m excited!). During this presentation, I will give updates on the 2014 Farm Bill, Veterinary Feed Directive, Syngenta Litigation, Idaho Ag Gag Legislation, Vermont GMO Labeling Litigation and other “hot topics” in agriculture law.
Wanna register? Must register online here. Sad you’ll miss it? Stay tuned for the outline and powerpoint. Oh, and course I will be tweeting from the conference – follow me @CariRincker & @RinckerLaw for updates from the conference.
