Illinois Animal Law: Keeping Dangerous Dogs in Urbana

If you have been found to have a “dangerous animal” in Urbana, Illinois, then Section 4-28 of the Urbana code sets forth a few requirements:

  1. Post a sign in a conspicuous place noting that there is a dangerous dog on the premises (sign must be at least 8 and 1/2 X 11 inches).
  2. Use a leash 3 ft or shorter of appropriate strength.
