A few weeks ago, I participated in mediation training in Trenton, New Jersey. While I was there, I came across some excellent pamphlets regarding landlord-tenant law in New Jersey. If you are in a landlord-tenant dispute in New Jersey, I encourage you to pick-up either the “Information for Tenants” or the “Information for Landlords” brochure from the civil courthouse. The New Jersey Courts’ website also includes valuable online information for both landlords and tenants.
Farmers and agri-business may find themselves in a landlord-tenant dispute either from the landlord or tenant side. Even though I do not think that legal guides and online information can replace the advice from an experienced attorney, I think it is a nice starting place.
Good luck to those of you participating in the Empire Farm Days this week!
