Animal Factory by David Kirby has been sitting on my Manhattan bookshelf for a few weeks. The weather is so nice in New York City now that I am yearning for some time in Central Park with a book. As the title suggests, the book is about “factory farming” and Concentrated Animal Feeding Operations (“CAFO’s”). As I have noted previously on this blog, I think it is important for folks involved in the agriculture industry to read the literature that consumers read so that we might all learn to effectively communicate to them about our food, fiber, and biofuel systems.
For those of you who are also interested in reading the book and would like to have a conversation via Skype, please email me at cari@rinckerlaw.com.
