Samantha “Sam” Ellis

Samantha “Sam” Ellis is an Associate Attorney at Rincker Law, where she brings her deep-rooted passion for food and agriculture to her practice.
Sam is bar licensed in the District of Columbia and is committed to staying at the forefront of agricultural and food law developments. She is passionate about combining her legal expertise with her firsthand experience in the agricultural industry to offer practical, effective legal strategies.
Sam earned her Juris Doctor and Master’s in Food and Agriculture Law and Policy from Vermont Law and Graduate School, following her Bachelor of Science in Animal Science from the University of Georgia. As a 2022-23 Albert Schweitzer Fellow, she focused on addressing food insecurity on college campuses in Vermont. Her experience includes serving as a clinician for the Center for Agriculture and Food Systems and the Environmental Advocacy Clinic, as well as interning with the United States Department of Agriculture Office of General Counsel.
In her free time, Sam enjoys spending time with her animals, hiking, and staying engaged in agricultural policy and legal developments.
